Okay, so here’s the deal – I go to a very rigorous private school in northern california. It has a crazy amount of AP classes, and the teachers are hard graders. Thankfully, it doesn’t rank [or else I’d have like no chance of getting into any college]. I definitely haven’t used half of what is avaliable to me, and I am just wondering how much colleges will notice that. But seriously, we aren’t allowed to take an honors or AP class unless we had an A in the prerequisite class. So it has been hard. But enough complaining, here are my stats:

Unweighted GPA: 3.3
Weighted GPA: 3.5/ 3.6 depends
UC GPA: 3.6/ 3.7 depends

I have taken a couple of honors courses, am taking 2 APs this year, and 3 or 4 APs next year.

extracurriculars:
3 years JSA
2 years Debate; won awards
2 years school dance production
2 years out of school dance ensemble
2 years lacrosse, helped start the team sophomore year

i have been doing art since like 7th grade, both in and out of school; will be doing AP studio art next year, so i guess that shows some commitment? it’s my main ec & i have been in 2-3 art shows every year. my out of school art teacher is recovering from some heart condition though, so my hours per week have gone down :[

recs, essays, blah blah blah:
i will have pretty good recs – an excellent awesome amazing one from my college counselor, and some good ones from teachers.
i write really good essays. especially when i have to talk about myself. so, i will do well on those. i’ve looked over past apps from some of the colleges i am considering, and already came up with stellar/ unique topics.
[i don’t know how much this will help though…]

sats:
projected score of about: cr:660 writing:680 math:670
[so assuming i get something in that range]

the colleges:
i want to do business/ economics as my major and a minor in poly sci.
in order of which one i want to go to the most, what are my chances for:

LMU
Occidental
UCSB
USD
Pepperdine
Syracuse
BU
Cal Poly
Chapman
UCI

what other colleges should i consider? mainly on the east coast/ midwest/ etc because i haven’t visited colleges there yet :]

thanks in advance.

oh yea: edit to explain what i’ve been doing over the summers:

after freshman year: debate camp [VBI] in LA, went to Russia to visit relatives

after sophomore year: i had a full time job which my parents made me quit after summer was over because they think high schoolers can just get money from their parents

after junior year: what i am going to do this summer is take 2 courses at UCLA – 1 is called “Russian for Russian Speakers” – it is geared towards people who speak russian but are kinda bad at reading and writing. and the other is just a regular college Sociology class. i’ll get a total of 10 credits [5 each] from these.
