Chances for an excellent math-focused student

<p>My boyfriend’s stats! :</p>

<p>SAT 2400 in two sittings</p>

<p>Highest GPA in the school, almost perfect numeric grades in most rigorous courseload + math classes at community college, Villanova and Drexel University</p>

<p>Class rank: top 5 kids</p>

<p>Almost every academic award at our school in every subject + Princeton Book Award</p>

<p>5’s on all 5 ap tests: US history, French, US govt, BC Calc, Comp Sci</p>

<p>EC’s:
Hi-Q team, science club, French club, National Honor Society
worked with a Drexel prof on a math research proj for 100 hrs junior year
AIME: 4
skateboards
attended PA Governor’s School for the Sciences</p>

<p>Reaches: Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Harvey Mudd, U of Chicago, Duke</p>

<p>He’s an awesome writer; essays and recs should be excellent.
I think he’s competitive for these schools. What are your opinions?</p>

<p>In everywhere except for Harvard and Princeton. Those are slight reaches. Then again, they are for everyone else too.</p>

<p>In at HMC, Chicago, and Duke. I’d say the rest are still reaches.</p>

<p>Teheheheh ok forgot SAT II scores which prob aren’t very significant but:
800 Math IIc
760 French
750 US History
taking Physics in the fall, will get an 800!!!1 ;)</p>

<p>He’s a really good candidate overall.</p>

<p>But a 4 on the AIME kind of sucks :)</p>

<p>He’s into many top places anyways :P</p>
