Chances for an Internationa female?!

1) Hi! As I said I’m an international and I’m applying mostly to need-blind univ. in the US because I’m definitely in need of fin aid. But Johns Hopkins is the university that i adore the most  So I’d be very thankful if you estimate my chances.

Prospective major: Biology, Chemistry or BME.

TOEFL 290

SAT I 1510 (m800/v710)

SAT II Math IIC 760
SAT II Writing 660 :o)
SAT II Chemistry 700
SAT II French ~700(next Friday)

GPA: 5.97/6.00

EC: volunteer work - teaching underprivileged children, work with physically and mentally disabled people, participating in a Youth Health Organization, martial arts, tennis club…and some more

Some awards in Math and English

Perfect recommendations though I don’t have one from a science teacher.

2) My second question concerns the BME program. If I apply for it and I’m not accepted do I have a chance to be admitted in the University in another major or not? In other words, does applying for BME affect my chances?

Thanks :))

) Good chances to get into JHU. Alright chances into BME.

2.) No, applying BME does NOT affect your JHU admittance. JHU would rather keep you if you are a BME applicant(they are generally stellar), so that you can try the similar majors like Mol Bio/Chem E and Mech Bio E.

Johns Hopkins is not need blind. Other than that, with solid essays and recs., you should not have that much problem. But, be ware that JoHo is not “need blind” and from what i heard, is not a very gracious giver either.
