I have a 33 ACT but my class rank is kinda low… I’m about top 15%, however I have a decent GPA (97.8 or 98 ish). My school is really competitive… 98% go to 4-year colleges.

Also made All-state in band last year, very active in band. Will be a marching officer next year. Treasurer of student council, vice president of SADD. I’ve been pressuring my principal to let me create a Young Democrats club for a year and it might happen next year (I live in Texas so he is extremely conservative and wary of any student political clubs).

Assuming my essay is good and my teachers give me fairly glowing recommendations (my APUSH teacher has repeatedly told me I am one of the best students she has ever had) what are my chances of getting into Boston College?

Edit: A little more information -

My transcript will show a pretty huge upwards trend in my grades. Sophomore year my dad was arrested for drug possession and sent to prison for 6 months. During that year my grades really suffered a lot. However, this year (my junior year), I’ve gotten all A’s in all of my classes, and I have a challenging course load:
