want to study/major in community health at brown

how are my chances, should i consider med.school instead after going to less competitive undergrad(thus, excelling there)

anything constructive or not will be helpful!

Apply. It wouldn’t hurt.

The most constructive thing you could do to improve your app would be to take the Sats again. Try to at least get your score in the 600s.

sounds like a plan! thanks

Low SATs. I am sensing some intense grade inflation. Anyways, take off some of those awards like National Honor Roll because everyone is offered it. It is sort of a scam.

that’s a lot of community service, ecs, and honors. I think you can get in despite your low stats if you can show what you are passionate about. plus the fact that you are haitian-smerican.

That’s a loooong-list there.

GPA: 3.747(weighted) 3.8 (unweighted)<~~~ how is your UW<W…??? typo?

applying to brown with those low SAT scores nearly made me pass out!

Probably have a lot of grade inflation at your school… People in the top 5% of the class DO NOT get such bad SAT scores ok?

Don’t apply to brown

ok so you got mad ec’s but you just aren’t really smart at all so i wouldn’t apply to brown. you might get in though just cus you are black, so actually i reNig on what i said- do apply to brown

thank you to everyone who commented, anyone else. the overall consensus is that my SATs are way too low and i dont really stand a chance.

wow I think I have lost all hope in CC… wth, I think you should apply. Yeah your SATs kinda suck, but don’t a lot of peoples? If you love the school, and you’re determined to get in, why not at least give it a shot? Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Never give up. This is your future

You’re Haitian American For God’s Sake! You’ll Get In!

Try taking the ACT and get at least a 28, Brown takes URM’s all the time with 28s and 29s!! I know this for a fact!!! How many Haitians do you think will be applying to Brown next year?? I’m guessing…close to 2! Apply!

Oh yeah, and you’re male. that’s an automatic advantage in the post-secondary education system of the 21st century…!

thank bendrumfront, really encouraging, i will consider ACT’s but will definitely do better on SAT’s

maxc1989, don’t listen to go-vibe or the others who say your stats are too bad to apply, b/c they are fairly well despite the sat… you just need to pretty much show how ambitious you are about brown… you can show that in your essay and in other ways… you have some pretty big ec’s and i think thats what really matters… really if you take the act’s i think you really have a good shot, brown is really random so hey u never kno, just apply and hope for the best

go-vibe, what is your problem? How about you try not to hurt the kid’s feelings by saying it nicely or maybe, just maybe, tell him to try again.

you guys are very supportive but my SAT’s are way too low for ivy-league

anymore comments, suggestions, by the way cc is helpful
