Chances?

Look at the admissions data for these schools for GPA and SAT. It is easily available on line. Compare your scores to the stats of students at these schools. If your school has Naviance, look up the data for students accepted and rejected at these colleges from your high school (scattergrams under the admissions tab).

BU says its most recently admitted studentsare ranked in the top 7% of their high school class and have an A- average and average SAT of 1452 (this number seems unexpectedly high and I suspect some funky concording from old to new SAT scores was involved; nonetheless, prepscholar reports that the prior year’s average on the old test but in terms of a 1600 total, would have been 1370). BU has an admissions rate of 25%.

BC’s most recently enrolled students are usually in the top 10% of their high school class. “Test scores for the middle 50% of enrolled students in the Class of 2021 ranged from 1310 to 1450 on the SAT, and 31 to 33 on the ACT. The median SAT was 1390.” BC’s acceptance rate is around 33%.

For Holy Cross, the middle 50% is 1230-1370 for students who started a year ago. Holy Cross has an acceptance rate of 39%.

Your stats are below the 25th percentile for all three of those schools. They are high reaches. Acceptance seems unlikely. Add colleges to your list where your stats would be close to the college’s average.

bump

I agree that your odds at these three schools are low. If you are only applying to them plus Worcester State, I would encourage you to apply to a few schools of a caliber between Worcester State and the other three. What are you interested in studying?

Political Science or law

I agree with the previous posters that you should have some less selective schools on your list. If you like BC and Holy Cross, you might look at Providence, Assumption, Sacred Heart, and Trinity.

At BU you would have a chance if you choose the CGS option.

I’d look at Fairfield University too.

Agree, those schools are huge reaches given your academics and it is unlikely that you would get in as an unhooked applicant. You should google the common data set and/or class profile to see where you stand for each school. Even Fairfield would be a major reach.

If you are looking for a Catholic school option consider Siena (NY), Sacred Heart (CT) and UScranton (PA) which are really nice schools, less selective, and I believe test optional,
