Martin Luther King Model of Justice Award (some local award, not sure exactly, it sounds pretty, sr. year)
St. Michael’s College Book Award (jr. year)

obviously yale and cornell are super reaches. but i’ve convinced myself that they don’t want over achievers and rather people who are interesting. hah. hoping that service and passion for sustainability will be enticing. :):)

ECs are pretty boring and you just seem like a greenie who speaks rhetoric. They want people with new ideas, not students regurgitating known information.

I think your ECs pretty much eliminate your chances to top-notch schools. Aside from being a greenie, you have typical ECs with no leadership positions. The martin luther king award may sound cool, but colleges don’t care. They want to see how hard the award is to earn and what it says about you.

Yale- high reach
cornell- reach
c mellon- low reach
tulane- match

tulane is ur safety, I can gaurantee u that but u better have a lot of money.

I got into Tulane with my 3.33 UW, 2110 SAT, and 33 ACT so you should be totally set. Otherwise, Carnegie Mellon most likely would you. With any school, (especially the Ivy’s), its hard to figure out admissions, but you stand a good chance at Cornell, and possibly Yale. But then it all depends on the individual person. Here’s my thread! Thanks!
