Chances for California colleges

Applying to Stanford, USC, UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego, Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz

I have a weighted gpa if 4.2 and a 1500 on the sat. I have been taking two college courses at the local community college and have 500 service hours where I have been working with Syrian refugee children in elementary school. I am Vice President of my small high school for what that’s worth. I feel like my grades, scores, and hours are good, but am concerned about extra curriculars. What do you think my chances are

What is your UC GPA capped weighted and fully weighted? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

HS course rigor? # of AP/IB and DE courses? Intended Major?

Fully weighted 4.60 weighted and capped 4.60 and take all ap or college courses besides math. Not sure what a de course is. And undeclared

Sorry those other two are actually 4.63

Capped weighted cannot be higher than 4.4 due to the maximum 8 semesters of Honors points. Regardless, your GPA is very competitive along with your test scores. Your EC’s are good but nothing stands out especially for Stanford.

All the UC’s are possible. You are qualified and competitive for Stanford but no way to chance for this school. It is a Reach for all applicants.

Best of luck.

BTW: DE courses are college courses/dual enrollment.

Undeclared may be an issue if you want eventually change to a competitive major such as CS/Engineering/Biology for many of the campuses. Many UC’s will require that you are a direct admit, so just be aware of the difficulty of declaring certain majors.
