Chances for CHE ED

Hello, I am currently a junior in high school and would like to know what I could do to increase my chances of getting into Cornell. I really want to get into the College of Human Ecology and Major in biology and society and will apply ED. I am currently taking World History AP and English 11 AP and the rest of my classes are honors.

and an independent research class

I feel like my GPA is really going to hold me back, but it’s pretty much set in stone. Any advice on how I could increase my chances?

I don’t know CHE well, but I think you’ve got a decent chance. Yes, your GPA is on the low side but your SAT is pretty good (and you have the chance to take it again). Your extra-curriculars fit nicely with a Biology and Society major. Work hard on your essays to emphasize your passions and how CHE is the right place for you.

Are you sure you want to take that many AP classes senior year? You definitely don’t need four science classes!

I’d say that you have a decent chance if you’ve shown improvement in your GPA over the years (eg bad freshman year, better grades other years.) I’d also retake the SATs, your scores are really good but you might want to make them stronger so as to make up for the GPA. Awesome ECs, and good luck to you!
