Hey! I’m planning on applying to Exeter, Deerfield, Groton, and Hotchkiss this year. I’m asian and live in California. I’m a freshman in highschool and have always done well in school.

My classes and grades are:
Honors English: A
AP Bio: C+ (slowly rising and expected to go up to a B soon then an A)
Spanish 1: A
Digital Photo A+
Honors Algebra 2/Trig Honors: C (but also expected to go up)

As mentioned before, my AP Bio grade is slowly going up. Being a freshman and skipping homors biology it took a while for me to get used to the work and adapting my study skills to the class but i did it! My grade has already gone up from a 73% to a 76% in about a week. Same situation as math. We have only done 1 test so far where i got a C, making my grade go down to 75%, but this test is known to be the hardest test of the year with many students getting either a C or failing. (A VERY few people got an A) I’m taking our second test in two days and will be posting my grade again after. I’m expecting to do well on this one. I play on the tennis team for my school and am also in Rotary Club (volunteering club) and the Gratitude Club (we write letters to soldiers and help make baskets for them) i also sometimes volunteer at my church.
I haven’t done my interview or ssat yet and am expecting my recommendation letters to be good.
I speak Korean and English, and am learning Spanish.
As for grades i expect a lot from myself and have always gotton straight A’s while not trying much. Many past teachers have complimented me telling me that i have very good writing skills. I love to read and have always read higher grade level books since the third grade. (my teachers would usually let me read whatever i wanted and pushed me to read harder books while the others kids were given a grade level range to choose books from) Also, i know that taking AP Bio as a freshman is pretty impressive seeing that whenever i tell someone that im taking the class they are impressed so will the schools that i’m applying to also be impressed?
Well that’s it! Please be honest while chancing me and also give any tips on what else i should do if you have any. Thanks!
