Chances for Fall of 07'

Hiya, I’m an Asian American male currently in junior year of high school. I goto what’s generally considered the best (or second best) private school in NYC.
I’m definitely in the top 5%, academically speaking, but my extra-curriculars, I think, are my main problem. Here are the stats:

GPA: 3.67 unweighted
APs: 1 for soph, 3 for junior, and 3 for senior
SATI:750 math, 660 reading, 780 writing (11 on the essay)
SATIIs:640 math 1, 680 US History
Extracurriculars: Cartoon and illustration (2nd, 3rd, 4th years), New York State Science Honors Society (3rd and 4th), Medical science club (2nd, 3rd, and 4th), Asian American Society (1st-4th years), Gardening and wood/metal crafts (not clubs/organizations in school, but I do it in my spare time, if that counts at all. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years.)

Also, I’m planning on applying with a biology major in mind, something relating to the environment, but I haven’t taken a science SATII yet. Exactly how necessary is a science SATII? I’m worried I’ll get a low grade, since all the info from the AP Bio class won’t be fresh in my mind. Thanks a lot for reading!

bump-a-roo?

Decent chances, apply ED if you definitely want to go

I agree. Your ec’s are a little lacking, but you seem like a pretty good candidate. Apply ED if you really want to go.

Well, I’ll also be getting 3 years of Christian Service, which is mandatory at my school, and 2 years of CPR Training. Does that count?

If you have extra space I’d include it (although they will obviously realize the christian thing…but hey, why not).

Since when does it take 2 years to learn CPR?

Probably means…lifeguard training? good question lol

Oh nooo, I’m liscenced to perform CPR by the Red Cross for one year so far, and in another month I’m going to get a renewal class, since I have to get re-tested every year.
