Yale University: Low reach
-Georgetown: reach
-Brown: Low reach
-Amherst College:Reach-Sarah Lawrence College:in
-Columbia: low reach/mid reach
-Williams College:Reach
-University of Washington in St. Louis:Reach
-Boston (Safety): Reach
-Rutgers (Safety):In

Thanks so much! Now at least I know I have some shot at getting in xD

You are definitely competitive for ALL schools. Make sure you make yourself stand out even more with some insightful essays and recs...make your personality shine! Chance me? <a href="">;/a> <--Include Yale also!

Thanks so much! I'm probably going to be starting French next year so I'll probably go with a language approach. Ill definetly chance you back asap!

Anyone else have opinions? Need advice for those liberal arts colleges especially Amherst T.T

Might look at Holy Cross-good LAC near Boston. HC has very strong alumni network-Supreme Court Justice, 1 US Senator, and 3-4 Congressmen in poltical field.

Amherst: high reach
Williams: high reach

(With your current scores, mid reach if you score 2200+) The biggest problem I see is that Williams and Amherst both take special pride in having an athletic student body... (You have no sports ECs)

Thanks so much! I'll look into that right now. I'm Protestant though, does it have a religious affiliation?

Edit. I now see that your replying to par72's post lol.

That's really interesting about Amherst... I might reconsider. The SAT scores shouldn't be that much of a problem though, there's a strong chance I'm gonna be able to get them up.

Haha lol sorry about that, seems like we posted at the same time =D

Holy Cross is a Jesuit college just like Georgetown, BC, Fordham, Gonzaga and the rest of the 28 Jesuit colleges in America. They are affiliated with the Catholic Church but many non-Catholics attend Jesuit colleges and they are quite secular in practice although Catholic religious services are more available than at secular colleges.
That's cool! Might consider applying there after I do some more research. Thanks for your help :)

Assuming that I apply to Holy Cross, what do you think my chances may be? I've got one more year to do something about my stats lol.

Holy Cross is SAT optional.

So it's like Sarah Lawrence? How's the curriculum run? Is it writing based too?

Btw, thanks a lot for your help xD

Yale/Brown/Columbia + Amherst/Williams all high reaches I'd say with your current SAT. I'd focus on bringing that up + maybe achieving more in the EC's you're already in.

100% agreed. Going for a 2200 sat, president of student council, drum major, and latin club president. The SATs and Student Council pres are extremley possible. Going to take a lot of work next year but I can probably do it if I put my heart to it.
