APs: Only Calc BC (5) so far. Taking this year: Chem, Phys C, US History, Lang/Comp. Also, I’m in Multivariable Calc and Diff Eq.

Keep in mind that I’m only a junior, and I fully intend to stick w/ my ECs for one more year each, so add one to all the years if you want. So what are my chances at top-notch schools?

Rank? if you’re within the top 5%, most preferably within top 2%, you have as good a chance as any other. But, the impression i get from your post is that you are doing something just for the sake of college. I might be dead wrong, of course, but do not come across that way in your apps in your future.

Gifted Student’s Club? wow that has got to be the most elitist club i have ever heard of. and that’s coming from a Princeton ED’er.

Oh yeah sorry I have 4.0 Unweighted and my rank is 1/744. How come it sounds like I’m doing something just for the sake of college? The only thing I can think of that I did just for the sake of college is take up officerships in Spanish Honor Society and the Gifted Students Club and study like mad for the SAT. Other than that, all the stuff I do (mostly research) is out of passion.

And btw the Gifted Students Club is not really called that. And its not really as elitist as it sounds. We tutor twice a week for free and offer it to anyone who shows up and we do tons of community service, It’s basically like NHS but smaller. However, as of now, it is barely alive. But trust me, not elitist at all.

you definitely have a chance. The westinghouse standing will get you somewhere (I didn’t even know juniors could do it). But, the Gifted Student’s Club is just ridiculous. At least persuade your Prez to change the name.

The name isn’t actually Gifted Students’ Club. It’s called Acatecs. I just didn’t call it that because I thought it would cause mass confusion. Oh well.
