i’m apllying ED
my reccomendations are excellent as well. i’ve already applied for about $35000 aid. my friends tell me jhu rarely gives aid and the packages are pathetic. what chance do i now stand at other unis who offer this much aid. unis like middlebury.

First off it’s a good idea to start a new thread instead of hijacking someone elses.

Looking at your scores (a GPA would be nice as well) ,i’d say you have an okay chance for getting into JHU.

Finacial aid is more of an issue. International students generally don’t get as much aid as students in the US. JHU is actually more generous in giving aid than most of its peers. But one thing people complain about is that JHU doesn’t give extra aid if your parents are not willing to pay. Aid to JHU is solely based on how much income your family makes. If your family can afford full tution, they will pay full tution (not including any scholarships you may get).
