Chances for Lehigh, Northeastern?

These are my stats:

Act: 31 (32 superscored)
GPA: 4.3
Extracurriculars: Varsity team captain, founder of a club, did 3 sports throughout high school

Took the most difficult courses my school offered (only 5 AP’s)

I want to major in engineering or computer science but I don’t know if colleges will look at my score in the math section for the ACT (27) and reject me.
What are my chances for Lehigh and Northeastern? What college do you think is better?

I think you’re fine for both Lehigh and Northeastern. Everything looks good. And Lehigh is better overall, and even more so in engineering.

I think you’re missing a lot here. Northeastern’s middle ACT range is 32-34. The middle weighted GPA is 4.0 - 4.4. While OP is a match, a low math score applying to engineering / CS is a fair concern. They won’t reject just for that, but I think it could be a factor. I think that would make both a high match / low reach name.

As far as which is better, they are both similarly ranked schools with similar strengths, both ranked within 5 places of each other in national universities and best undergraduate engineering programs by US News. While not a holy grail to look at blindly, it is good to show they are in a similar tier. I think they are about even for engineering, and Northeastern would have the edge for CS specifically. Beyond program strength, they are very different schools, so consider which you prefer in terms of fit, environment, location, size, etc.
