chances for mcgill, neu, bu, etc.

So, I applied to Northeastern, McGill, WPI, RPI, RIT, BU, UConn, and Harvard (lol I know it’s gonna be impossible)

I’m a white female and I applied for CS and linguistics (where possible, RIT and WPI don’t offer it)

Stats:

ACT Comp: 34 (really a 33.5, does it round up?)

Math: 30 (I know it’s kinda low)

Science: 34

English: 34

Reading: 36

GPA: unweighted: 3.7 weighted 4.0 (7 APs, 3 last year, 4 this year - pretty much took as many as I could) - upward trend, then it dropped junior year when I could take APS and no idea how senior year factors in, but I’m doing better

Also, I skipped Geometry and Precalc using an online course, I’m hoping it shows ambition a bit lmao

AP Calc AB: 5

AP Chem: 4

APUSH: 5

I’m 7th in a class of 145

ECs:

Math Team: 2 years, I got a varsity letter but that means nothing lol - I didn’t know it existed for a bit

A Cappella: 4 years, It’s kind of leadership (which I mentioned on common app), I’m the head of my section and kinda do have authority over the others? I did get into districts this year though so that was p cool

A smaller ensemble: 2 years, it’s a (weirdly named) SSAA invitation only all girls ensemble that started last year, I’m one of the first members

Theatre: Musicals for 4 years, no major roles (no matter how hard I try lol)

Robotics Internship: 1 year (summer really), built an undersea robot with a small team, paid internship

Work: 2 years, I’ve worked as a page at my local library, usually 6-9 hours a week

Volunteer?: 1 year, I volunteered at a local consignment shop for a summer and organized a lot

Volunteer kinda: I helped for 2 summers at multiple theatre summer camps, led the kids and taught choreo and music

Essays:

Uh, I think my essay is pretty good. I talked about my passion for my majors so really generic, but a lot of people told me they liked my essay.

Teacher Recs:

One from my Chem teacher, one of my Calc teacher: My chem teacher is harsh but she adores her AP Chem students so I’m hoping that helped, and my Calc teacher is just a great dude all around. I had them both for 2 years and I’m hoping they explained that I’m a good student though I did struggle in their classes a bit (high 80 avg by end of the year)

I can’t say a lot, but your stats are a bit better than a friend of mine who was admitted to neu this year so there’s that?
