School’s I’m applying to:
MIT
U Penn
Cal Tech
UC Berkeley
UCLA
Harvard
U Chicago

Your SAT I score could be raised up, other than that you are good for all the schools, except Harvard, Upenn, and MIT…UCLA seems to be a goood match with the comparrison of your SAT score. CAL tech, eh… good luck… harvard, upenn, and MIT are pretty much reaches for eveyone, even those with great stats. Good luck. One question though, How the Hell did you take AP Calculus BC in 10th grade??please tell me how the heck one can do that!!!

You do not apply to MIT by major. You apply to MIT, then select your major later. The Students at Sloan apply to MIT just like everyone else.

Early start in middle school+block schedule+skipping pre-calc in my case – but I’m only in AB
OP: You should be in in UChicago.

Since when is 2240 considered low?

Since you’re applying to MIT.

Since you’re applying to MIT.

Your SAT is not low and is just fine for schools like MIT. However, if you think you can raise your score this October or November, then go for it. I think your junior year grades from the Stanford online courses could raise some eyebrows. But you have good leadership.

From what I’ve seen, usually MIT will not care about an unperfect CR or Writing score in the SAT as long as you have a perfect math score. Academically, you’ve done almost all you can, now I would focus more on your essay or how your going to convince the MIT admissions people that you “belong” there.
