I would say you have a very good chance of admission to at least one of those schools. Good luck!

I second that ^. Especially your olympiads will help a lot, but the rigor of your curriculum and your grades & GPA will also be important factors. Make sure you don’t screw yourself over by neglecting your grades & GPA. Good luck with your application!

I think that you should try to get your TOEFL up at least over 100, and consider all of “MIT, Caltech and HYPS” to be high reaches. Definitely have other options (very possibly in your home country if it is not the US).

@bardia98 Imo very good chances. Jeez the fact that you are applying the same year as I makes me nervous lol. Have you applied to any of them EA?

HYPSMC can be quite unpredictable even for the very top students though. I would advise also looking at other elite schools that are slightly easier to get in than HYPSMC. Like the non-HYP ivies, UChicago, Duke, Northwestern for example. You should have excellent chances for those.

Though you “assume good essays,” the writing in your post does not demonstrate mastery of written English at a level expected of students at HYPS. With a TOEFL of under 100 and no SAT or ACT, I would expect your chances of acceptance to be close to nil.

@bardia98 How can you have access to subject tests and not the regular SAT? Sounds strange, have never heard of a test center offering just subject tests and not the actual SAT. I think without the SAT/ACT and a subpar TOEFL it will be difficult, even though you clearly are a very impressive students.

@Penn95 to take the test I had to travel to another country. Unfortunately, you can’t take SAT general and SAT Subjects on just a same day and I’m not allowed to travel abroad more than once in a semester.(Governmental rules related to military service), so to put it off I sai that.

@bardia98 oh ok that makes sense now. Just try to improve your TOEFL a lot and you should be fine. That said, I would agree with the poster above, try to broaden your scope a little bit more outside of HYPSM,Caltech to other elite schools. There are at least 7-8 other US universities that are very strong and are considered elite, but are a bit more attainable than these 6.

@ivyoxbridge1 No I didn’t apply for EA and don’t get nervous :)) our chances are almost upon to our essays.

it’s so dumb that it changes our emojis to this :)) :expressionless:

@Penn95 you are completely right! I’ve to consider some safety options! Tnxxx
