Chances for non-engineering out of state

<p>Hi. Im a junior applying next year. I was wondering my chances at uiuc aces(agricultural something and environmental science). </p>

<p>I am out-of-state(California).
My stats:
3.5-3.6 weighted
4 AP’s so far
4 more AP’s in senior year- bio, physics b, statistics, gov&politics

Won awards 3 years in a row for science fair-2 1st place technical papers and 1 grand prize technical paper, honorary mention project,
$100 award for some water organization- allowed me to enter state water fair
JVSH Reno science fair- first in bay area, but alternate for going to the California-Nevada level
All my projects have involved environmental science.</p>

<p>Your 1240 M+V SAT puts you right around the median of accepted ACES students (1160-1310 middle 50%), but your weighted GPA of 3.5-3.6 is pretty low, especially since California high schools tend to have pretty high grade inflation (not sure if they’ll factor that in though). For example, UCSC has an average UC GPA of around 3.7, and they’re in the bottom third of UCs. For what it’s worth, UIUC doesn’t discriminate against out-of-state students like the UCs do, and ACES is the least selective college at UIUC.</p>
