Male
SAT - 2040 (CR 690, M 700, W 650)
GPA - 3.1 UW 3.7 W
Mostly Honors courses throughout with 2 APs Jr year and 4 APs senior year
Leadership positions in the Drama Club, Tri-M, and participation in musicals each year
Community Service through the Friendship Circle…partnering with children with learning disabilities</p>

<p>I think your GPA is too low for most of the schools on the list. How is your class rank? Your course load is moderate but not high enough to justify a low GPA.</p>
<p>low GPA is gonna hurt you…you SAt is solid for your choices, but u better have a good reason (REASON not EXCUSE) for the low GPA bc your rigor of courses was not that hard.
EC are fine and leadership qualities are nice too…show u can offer more to the school than just academic excellence and that u can bring something else to the school…</p>

<p>Thanks for the responses. My unweighted isn’t great, but given all the honors courses and the two APs, it’s up to 3.7. I know some schools just look at the weighted and others have their own system. But are you reacting to the 3.1 as too low or the 3.7?</p>
<p>^ That is referring to your uwGPA. Weighed GPA has no standard and can be as high as 6.0. Most stat just use uwGPA in 4.0 scale.</p>
<p>I’ve been told by a few schools that they go by whatever the school gives them or they recalculate to reflect honors and APs. But these schools don’t?</p>
