Interviews
I did not have one yet for Northwestern.

I’d say you have a great chance. You could shoot for higher schools you know. International applicant…which school do you go to?

just curious if daughter has a shot in hell. Honestly don’t think so but she applied as its her dream school

GPA. approx 3.5 unweighted 3.6 weighted
SATS 780 CR, 750 Writing, 610 Math
ACTs 31
SatII English 750

lots of extracurricular and recommendations

Thank you for hijacking the thread.
I suggest you use this: ■■■■■■■.com/chanceformat and post it under a different thread.

Other than that, why is her GPA so low? How is her rank?

Didnt mean to hijack but don’t appreciate your obnoxiousness.

A “shot in hell”? Of course. A good shot? No, but you never know what happens, so of course she did the right thing in giving her dream school (and it is a GREAT school) whatever shot she does have.
Good luck to her.

WCA, thank you. she realizes very little chance but no harm in taking the shot.

JSIMON- I am beginning to question your philosophy.
First of all, without apologizing, you call my friendly suggestion as a sign of ‘obnoxiousness’?
You refuse to post her complete stats, so I had to assume that her rank is low (which it is).

I suggest you make your own thread.
Thank you.

JSIMON: First off, you did hijack the thread, and you did it intentionally. I would choose your wording wisely. “I didn’t mean to hijack your thread.” I’m pretty sure you didn’t accidentally click this thread and accidentally post your daughter’s stats asking for chancing for the same university as the OP. And honestly, your daughter has a very low chance of getting in. Her SAT and GPA is weak, and although her SAT II score is good, Northwestern recommends that you submit two SAT II scores.

104[Insert More Numbers Here]: You have a very strong shot. I know international students with lower scores that were accepted. You should be fine.

Really?
Should I provide my full stats?

Any more takes?

Why wouldn’t you?

Some of the stuff on my resume are very unique. I would like to keep CC and my private life mutually exclusive.

There’s really no need for the extra information. As long as you wrote a decent essay, I’d say you’re pretty well in. Good luck anyways though.

True, I want to keep my private life and CC mutually exclusive.
Thank you for the take.
