<p>i feel like i am just average but the one thing that does set me apart is the legacy. My parents both went to UD. As well as my grandfather, 4 aunts, and 3 uncles. Chance me!!!</p>
<p>There is another thread here that discussed legacy and no one was really sure if UD takes it into account. Are your parents at all active in the alumni and do they donate regularly? That could help. You SATās are low for UD, but you probably knew that. Is that GPA out of 4 or 5?</p>
<p>if both of your parents graduated from UD then youāre considered an in state residentā¦it is very easy for in state residents to get in as opposed to out of state applicants. go to this site, it will tell you the same thing iām telling you.

<p>^ Youāre absolutely right, the article didnāt discuss that specifically. But ā¦</p>
<p>I have read posts from past students who claimed UD treated double-legacies as instate, and there are numerous references to legacies being given some degree of preference. With your stats, plus double-legacy status, Iād say youāre in unless your SAT is totally lopsided ā¦ you know, something like 480CR, 400M, 760W.</p>
<p>If you still have concerns, have one of your parents call the UDel Alumni Association and talk to them about it. Good luck!</p>
<p>oh iām sorry it must have been another article. There was an article where i read that you are considered in state if both of your parents went there. My dad called the admissions people a month ago to ask about legacy info cuz he went to UD as well. I am also from pa. She said it is a factor when they review your application.</p>
<p>New hope- my sats arenāt great but they are equal. I had a 540 on both reading and math and then a 570 on writing. Thank you!</p>

<p>If they actually treat you as in-state then you could potentially hear much sooner. Otherwise I think March, assuming you applied by the early deadline.</p>
