<p>I got my SATs (1480) CR=440 WR=440 And Math=600</p>

<p>I took my SAT only once and these are the scores. And now I have decided to go with mid level universities. I have a very good track record of my co-curricural activities.</p>

<p>I founded a company in India. Due to the fac of being Minor I am not eligible for the CEO post. I have a designated as Cheif Developer. </p>

<p>I started project called FREctE to bring out a GNU/Linux distro in India with the help of Indian Govt.</p>

<p>I was the youngest Developer in Ubuntu network.</p>

<p>I am a member of Freinds of Snakes and also general secretary for ABVP. I was the first President for the Rotaract Club in our district 3150 of Rotary international.</p>

<p>I conducted more than 30+ seminars on computers and operating systems in differet schools and institutions.</p>

<p>I have many internationl laurets in Painting. Lions Club, LG, Korosala, Indian govt have awarded me with the prizes. </p>

<p>I am also the TCS IT wiz kid for the present year in Andhra Pradesh.</p>

<p>I know to play guitar. I am also a member of band in our college.</p>

<p>I know different programming languages, C, C++, Python, CSS and Javascript.</p>

<p>I have done projects on Nuclear Science and Heritage of India.</p>

<p>In the free time also wrte a book about my experinces. (autobiography)</p>

<p>My dream colleges are MIT and Stanford but due to low SAT scores I have decided to apply for them through freshman application. </p>

<p>I need advise from you guys. how is Poly-NYU and USC. are they really good universities?
And are there any other universities which would suit my need of pursuing research in Essembly Language.</p>

<p>Almost NO american candidates have that. If u can show that you are a prodigy u can get into Stanford and such</p>

<p>Damn, talk about unique. I don’t know what to say though because those test scores will hinder you for apps but your work in management brings a lot in you so I’d have to say good chance at those schools.</p>

<p>With your uniqueness, you may want to take a shot at a few better colleges.</p>

<p>“better colleges” Let me know what that could be! please name some…and I did not get the answer for my first part of the question. Is NYU-Poly good college? is USC good enough to do research in assemble programming?</p>

<p>please also suggest me an idea to get into MIT. Does my idea of applying for freshman after finishing my first sem in Poly-Nyu or USC workout? I’ll retake my SAT and I am confident the next time with preparation I can manage to cross off 2000. Do you want me to try my luck applying for Stanford for this fall applications? I did not take any SAT subject tests. </p>

<p>And by the way I stand in 2 position in my class of 90. And my percentage of marks is 70-75(A Grade in India)</p>

<p>Wow, you’re really unique buddy. I love the fact that you’re doing something that very few ppl in CC have put in their “chance” profiles! I think you have a really good shot at some good colleges. If you pull up your SAT I, I would say shoot for MIT. If not, then schools like USC, NYU (as you have stated) and other prestigious colleges will like to have you. Check out Brandeis too, because they have a good business program and you would suit them well.</p>
