Can I make top 30?
Premed is not a major. What schools do you have in mind?
At top 30 the above is a given, what matters is ECs and essays.
In addition, top 30is pretty wide, it includes schools as different as Middlebury and Carleton, Vanderbilt and Emory…
UNC, Georgetown, NYU, Virginia
If you’re instate for either UNC or UVA you have a shot. Obviously they’re highly selective so your odds are 50-50 but instate you have a very good shot. The oos one… Possible but consider reach.
Georgetown is reach for everyone. Take your three subject tests, score 740+, and make sure one of the three is French.
Run the NPC on all four and bring the results to your parents. (assume nothing. Unless they’ve already specifically given you a price range, do not assume that what you think they can afford is indeed what they can or are willing to pay.)
Note that none of the four is especially supportive and nurturing of its pre-med, which is what they need. For premeds, health policy as a major is very strong at Georgetown.
