<p>Major Awards: Best In Nation for the Verizon Innovative Application Challenge, created the application with MIT’s Media Lab, MIT Zero Robotics (4th in the nation, 7th international), Eagle Scout, Global Social Cooperative Challenge Semifinalist, Presidential Service Award - Gold (5 times), over 1500 hours in community service, Best Delegate in Dallas Area Model United Nations</p>

<p>Work Experience: Intern for sustainability department at UNT, will be receiving rec letter from the director of the department; Intern for a start up created by an MIT grad, have been interning since 9th grade as a Business Analyst and will receive a rec letter from him ; started a non-profit organization with my friend to help raise money for a child rehabilitation camp in Afghanistan raising over $3000</p>

<p>Updates to Duke App: Currently research assistant at Laboratory of Advanced Polymer Materials (UNT) and co-authoring paper that will be under review for publication and presented at Poly Char 23; received internship offer from World Financial Bank for summer 2015; best delegate for North Texas model Arab league</p>

<p>Why Duke: Wrote about how I heard Duke prof speaking on the radio about the behavioral econ behind obesity and used the this event as a foundation for my interest in Duke</p>

<p>Community Essay: Wrote about how my community is devoted to volunteering internationally and how that influenced me to start my own organization based in war-ridden areas of Tajikistan where kids need rehab due to war </p>

<p>You seem really qualified, but the thing that stood out to me was the lack of both a second SAT II and the writing section of the ACT (unless you simply chose not to tell us the latter?). </p>
