Chances for RD?

Academic:

SAT I: 2190 (660 CR, 790 M, 740 W) [This is taking my best scores from two sittings]
SAT Math II: 780
SAT Chem: 760
SAT Bio M: 740 [All SAT IIs were taken on the same day]
IB Predicted: Roughly 38/42 or 40/45

ECs:

Piano: private lessons for 8 years. Played in recitals, musicals, all that good stuff.
Viola: school orchestra for 7 years. Only violist in my current school, and I’m trying to develop the section a bit more.
Tabla (Indian drums): 3 years. Something I picked up after I moved to India.

Leadership:

Academic League team captain in 9th grade

Community Representative in the student council in 10th grade- do not underestimate this position. I think I spent more time on this than on homework that year.

Lit & Lang Head of Department for this interschool fest in 11th and 12 grade. Interschool fests are quite the Indian thing. Basically our school holds this huge event on campus for 3 days where roughly 15 schools from all over India come and participate in various competitions. I was in charge of four of these competitions, created them and executed them.

Community Service:

Tutored an underprivileged, nearly blind man so that he could pass his 10th grade exams. I was in 11th grade at the time. He’s now in a university.

Organized a huge fund raiser for CUPA in 10th grade.

Accompanied 10th graders in the IGCSE Music final exams. Played viola and piano for them.

Few other smaller things…
Roughly 200 hours.

Other info:
I moved to India in the summer between 9th and 10th grade. Before that, I attended a US high school. I changed schools in India again after 10th grade. So three different high schools in four years.

I need honest opinions and judgements… even if they’re brutal.

:( .

Are you still legally a resident of the US? International acceptance rates are low, and even lower if you need financial aid. Your SAT is kinda low, but its in range… you say nothing about your class rank, gpa, recs, or essays though. To get even a general idea I think you need to include this info.

:) No worries, thank you.

Nope. I’m a US permanent resident.

Class rank: 20/120. I go to an EXTREMELY elite private school in India.
GPA: We don’t have the GPA system. We get admitted based on our IB predicteds.
Recs: Quite good, but the teacher recs aren’t phenomenal. My counselor rec is probably really good, and I’ve got an external rec, which is phenomenal, from an internship over the summer.
Essays: I can’t judge my writing for beans. I think I’m unique, but not by Stanford’s standards.

AND I FORGOT TO MENTION:

Last summer I did an internship for 7 weeks. Worked with animal brains, radioactivity, all sorts of chemicals. We basically were out to determine the effect of various drugs on the hormone receptors in rat and rabbit brains. Also took a short course in radiation safety… scored the highest mark on the exam.

if your essays and recs are good enough i think you probably have a shot

i say no, but I might be biased because of early action standards.
