Chances for SANTA CLARA!!!!

<p>the STATS:</p>

<p>BAD test taker…will take SAT 1’s 1 more time before admission, yet to take the 2 SAT subuject tests required for Boston University.</p>

<p>SAT MATH: 610
SAT VERBBAL: 590
SAT WRITING: 560</p>

<p>GPA: 3.67 unweighted, 3.825 weighted</p>

<p>i have taken the hardest courses possible at my school, i will graduate with 5 AP classes completed, finishing my junior year I have completed 2, AP English Composition 11 and AP US History, both A’s for both semesters.</p>

<p>senior couse load will be:</p>

<p>AP Calculus
AP English 12
Anatomy
Spanish 3
Journalism 2 (sports and features editor)
Biritish Literature</p>

<p>EC’s…too sum it all up in a condensed version:</p>

<p>focused mainly on distance running and soccer for sports (2 time district first team in cross country, 2 time school MVP, 3 year captain…1 time district first team, 1 year captain varsity soccer)</p>

<p>played club soccer for #1 ranked team in state</p>

<p>clubs:
interact- 3 years (2007-2008) secretary
NHS- 2 years (2007-2008) secretary</p>

<p>Church Youth Group- confirmed catholic, 3 hrs a week, soup kitchen etc…</p>

<p>sorry it was SOOOOO long, just wanted to give u enough info to get some good answers as to what chance i have at each school…i hope this wasnt all in vain.</p>

<p>Good GPA, good religious volunteer work, great soccer background (do you plan to play at Santa Clara?–they will consider this given their soccer team’s importance relative to other sports at the school). Tough courseload.</p>

<p>I’d say try to get the SATs into the 600+ range, get the President or VP job at the Interact club and spend a few more hours on the volunteer work and you’ll have no problem. Also, see if there is any way to get leadership with the soccer team on the resume (#1 in state is already very impressive).</p>

<p>Personally I think with 600+ on the SATs and two SAT IIs in the 630+ range, you will be a lock at Santa Clara–and a safe match to match at Boston University.</p>

<p>You have a way higher chance if you ED a school like SC because they are really trying to up yield. They also really want to add non W. Coast kids. If you are a full payer from E. Coast I think you have a good shot ED.</p>
