<p>A.V. 11-- I concur with your decision. It is not a good idea to apply early unless you are completely sure about the first choice school. </p>
<p>For some applicants it can be a clever option however. For example, Applicant A. applies E.D. to ivy school. After being rejected by said ivy realizes that Lafayette is the clear second choice. Proceeds to roll over application at Lafayette to E.D. now that ivy situation has resolved itself. (This is a happy ending scenario that played out in my town a few years ago).</p>
