GPA: 3.71 UW-Stanford style(ABSOLUTELY HARDEST COURSELOAD AVAIALBLE: 8 AP classes between my soph and junior years and Freshman year was a 4.0 if thats even considered)
ACT: 35(32E,35M,36R,35SC+11E)
SAT II’s: 760 Math II(retaking), 720 USH(retaking), 620 Lit, 620 World, 580 Physics(retaking)

Should I even bother applying SCEA or would it just be a waste of my early option?? Honest advice is appreciated!!:)

Your ACT is very good. Stanford does look at freshman grades. How much does that raise for GPA? What is your courseload for senior year? What are your AP scores?

Your SAT-II’s are weak. You should want to have three 700+. Why not try chem or bio?

Yeah SAT II’s aren’t required but they strongly recommend them, like the Math Level II test. I’m hoping that in case my retake doesn’t go well, Stanford only considers my top two and disregards the rest like it states on its admissions website that it explicitly does. M

My Freshman year 4.0 GPA bumps my composite to a 3.81 UW although it is irrelevant for Stanford. All my 5 B’s are in Math/Science and oddly enough, my best AP scores(4’s and 5’s) came in those classes with the exception of Physics C.

My courseload if far superior to those who have been admitted to Stanford from my school in the past though they had higher GPA’s if that means anything.:)

Alright, I realized that I’m better of applying Stanford RD after I raise my SAT II’s and after receiving senior year first-term grades(which will hopefully be good). Thanks for the advice!!!

I’ve seen two people with almost identical stats and ECs apply to Princeton and Stanford. One got in to Princeton and was denied at Stanford. The other? Accepted at Stanford, denied at Princeton.

You can’t predict Stanford. You get a “No” or a “Maybe”.
