Chances for these schools?

<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>What are my chances of getting into these?
Yale, Stanford, UChicago, NYU, and such schools</p>

<p>Academics:
Rank: 2/500
GPA: 4.7W/ 4.0 UW
SAT: 2200
SATII: high 700s</p>

<p>School Activities:
2 varsity sports
several clubs (president of one)</p>

<p>EC:
architecture internship (8 month)
biomedical research internship (2 month) + coauthored paper
volunteer at hospital
tutor</p>

<p>I know I may be causing myself excessive worry by asking such a question after all the applications, but I just want to know a rough estimation of what I might be able to get into.</p>

<p>Your stats are good, but your ECs as currently presented are not compelling. Your chances are decent, but it’s a crapshoot and you’re not sticking out in the subjective department, so don’t be surprised if you get some rejections.</p>

<p>Academically you are impressive. I think you have good EC’s it’s just that you didnt expand on them in this thread like most people do on CC. I think you will be able to get an acceptance from atleast one of these schools, although you may be rejected from universities like UChicago and NYU which really care about the unique parts of a student instead of the statistic parts.</p>

<p>You should be able to get into one of the highly ranked schools so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.</p>

<p>Doesn’t NYU have something along the lines of a 30% acceptance rate though? how does that make them more selective?</p>
