Applying to: Brown, Cornell, UC: (Berkeley, LA, Irvine, SB, Davis, SD), CMU, UIUC, Gatech, U Michigan, USC, UNC Chapel Hill, U Washington, UF.

brown/cornell/Berk/cmu- low to mid reach, but of course they are for everybody
I would say in at all others, might want to retake SAT or try the ACT though. Course rigor looks good and gpa is great of course.

^^If they’re applying as a junior with a 4.0 GPA and a rigorous course load, would that SAT/ACT even matter to the point that they’d have to retake it? It kind of defeats the purpose sense they aren’t a high school student.

I’m not even going to try and chance you for the first two or any UC. I’m not too familiar with the UC system as I’m not from California and the Ivies are, well Ivies.

I’d say you’ve got a good chance for plenty of the others. Are you applying for next fall?

Yeah, so for the UCs I’m applying this november while most of them are by february

You are probably in at all the UC’s (Berkeley is a reach, of course), but are you prepared to pay OOS tuition which can be prohibitive with no financial aid? While it may be worth it for UCB/UCLA, I can’t really see it being worth it for SB, Irvine, or Davis.

thanks for the concern, but as of the moment I’m only worried about admission ^^. I will pay for the OOS tuition for any school that admits me, but like you said in your comment, it will be worth it if I can get into UCLA or UCB, which concerns me since UCs are biassed against OOS students.
