I am currently a high school sophomore. I am considering applying to UC Berkeley and the University of Washingon. I want to major in biomedical engineering. I have not yet taken the SAT but would like some insight on my chances of getting into those two schools and what classes I should consider registering for to make it possible.
Location: Shoreline, Washington (Very near Seattle)
Ethnicity: Second generation Ethiopian Immigrant (Black)
Gender: Male
Legacy: My father immigrated to the US, attended the University of Washington and got a PharmD from there. He still works for University of Washington Medicine, trains students there, and contributes to the school in this way. (I don’t know if this makes a difference)
Education: Public Schooling
Language: I am fluent in Amharic (Ethiopian language), in addition to English, and I know a bit of Spanish thanks to my classes and outside work that I did in order to learn it better.

-Started a Stock Market/Investment Club at my school that has grown to be one of the biggest clubs.
-Varsity Tennis.
-I do some music production with tracks I’ve produced and mixed racking up tens of thousands of plays on various streaming sites.
-In the process of developing and marketing a cryptocurrency with a few friends of mine with a blockchain that is based on the esports and video game industry.
-I trade stocks and have made good money doing so.
-I work as a day camp counselor during the summer and school breaks.
-I play snare drum in our school drumline, considered top ten in the state.
-I have been playing piano for 11 years.
-I am proficient in Python and am learning C++.
-I volunteered at my church through feeding the homeless and running a daycare and Vacation Bible School. I have about 30 hours so far.
