<p>*AP/Honors Courses: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP U.S Government and Politics, AP Physics B, AP Biology, AP Statistics, AP Spanish Language, Honors Spanish IV, Honors Physics </p>

<p>IN-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES:

  1. Intel affiliated science fair competitions (9-12): significant time spent outside of class (~14 hours/week for 34 weeks) conducting independent research projects.
  2. Freshman Class Council (9): weekly meetings all year long; helped with setting up for various school events.
  3. Green Team (9): monthly meetings all year long.
  4. Model United Nations (11-12): weekly meetings and additional outside of class commitment in preparation for the Model UN conference in April.<br>
  5. Link Crew Leader (11-12): 20+ hours spent helping orient and making connections with the freshman class.
  6. National Honor Society (11-12): monthly meetings all year long, as well as additional community service hours with NHS associated volunteer events.

  3. Intramural Basketball (9-10): 2 games per week for 10 weeks.
  4. Piano (9-11): private lessons every week for 1.5 hours. </p>

<p>You’ve got good chances for schools this competitive. Your ACT isn’t outstanding, your APs are good and your ECs, mainly the research and science fairs, are excellent. </p>

<p>A ton of science EC’s will definitely help you for these schools. (I’m assuming you’re intending on majoring in biology or something along those lines) ACT is good, but why no SAT. Cornell and Chicago are both ridiculously hard chances but with your ECs and if you kill your essay, I think you will have a favorable chance at both!</p>

<p>Yep I’m planning on a biology related major. And my SAT is lower… so I don’t want to show colleges at all!!</p>

<p>This kind of depends on the rigor of your school’s curriculum, but I would say that you definitely have a decent shot at UChicago. Your ACT’s a bit low, but your EC and GPA are very solid. Good luck!</p>
