Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I would definitely say your in especially if you improve your ACT. One thing you might want to focus on doing for your senior year, if you can, is to try and find doctors to shadow. I noticed you shadowed a psychiatrist so if thats a field your looking into perhaps try and shadow with him/her again or try and find another doctor. I say this because I know a couple kids who are applying to UMiami for the same program and they all are doing internships over the summer with different doctors. I’m sure this medical experience will help them a lot with getting in since it shows they have a true passion for the medical world, not saying you don’t! Anyways good luck your a great candidate and UMiami would be lucky to have you :-]

Thanks for the input!
But just wondering how do you find these internships and doctors to shadow?

Hmm well my one friend’s parents are doctors so he just interns with their doctor friends and stuff. Are any of your friend’s parent’s doctors or does your family know anyone who is one? Like I said its not necessary to have the internships but its just a good thing to have maybe if your stats are identical to someone else it will give you an edge. Maybe go about getting a doctor to shadow the same way you got the one for your psych project.

Oh also maybe ask the doctor you currently go to for check-ups and physicals if they know of any doctor you could intern with or shadow, I’m sure he/she would be glad to help.

If you can improve your ACT by a little, I would say your in.

thanks for all the feedback!
