Chances for UPenn, Georgetown, and USC?

<p>I am a male living in Nevada looking to go into pre-med. </p>

<p>GPA: 4.00 (uw) 4.875 (w)
Rank : 3/390 (top 5%)</p>

<p>ACT:
Composite - 34, English - 32, Math - 34, Reading - 36, Writing - 8
SAT II:
Math II - 750, Chemistry - 780, US History - 700</p>

<p>AP Classes and Scores: AP Euro (5), AP Chemistry (5), AP US History (5), AP English (4)</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:</p>

<p>AP Biology
AP Physics C
AP English
AP Calculus
US Government </p>

<p>EC’s: Interned at worked at the local hospital alongside a doctor in both his clinic and in the operating room (hands on experience). Volunteered in community service while on 1 month trip back to China. Part of FBLA, Key Club, Ski Club, Academic Olympics, Science Bowl Regional Competition (Placed 4th in state, $1000 prize). Played guitar for 5 years and piano for 2. Skier since the age of 6, now volunteering at local resorts to teach children. </p>

<p>Special Skills: Fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese as well. </p>

<p>Recommendations: My Ap Eng. Teacher, My Ap Chem Teacher, and the doctor I interned with all wrote me great recommendations.</p>

<p>Assuming you’ll be applying to the NHS, I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting in. Great GPA and ACT, which are first and foremost what Georgetown looks for. I’m assuming you are Chinese, in which case I would advise you to select “Prefers not to answer” on the ethnicity question. Other than that, as long as you have some community service hours/good rec letters, you have a pretty good shot! Im applying to the SFS. Good luck!</p>

<p>Your stats are exactly where they need to be, and you’ve got a great shot. I hope it works out for you, admissions at those top schools can seem completely eccentric and ridiculous at times. Best of luck.</p>

<p>I doubt you can get into UPenn with a 2270 lol. It doesn’t work like that for us Chinese folk. Georgetown is iffy but I guess you could get in if you get lucky.</p>
