I’m beginning my sophomore year of college this fall and I’m getting a little nervous as I read these forums. All of these students who are interested in the ivies are posting these ridiculous stats. I have a strong desire to attend UPenn. Can anyone tell me how likely it is that I’ll get in?

High School (class of 2010) - 92.3 GPA
All State Exams are 91% and above
Mostly Honors classes but only 1 AP class junior year

Extracurriculars:

I was heavily involved in music and accomplished quite a bit with it.

All State Music Ensemble '08 and '09
Accepted into the All Eastern Music Ensemble '08
Syracuse Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corp '08
Percussion Ensemble - '06-'09
Jazz Band - '05-'09
Field Band - '06-'09
Honors Symphonic Band
Pit Ensemble
etc.

Standardized Test Scores

I’m retaking the SAT in October for the 3rd time. Didn’t take it seriously in high school because I was immature and figured it wouldn’t matter because I would likely attend community college due to financial reasons.

SAT - 1770/2400
Reading - 520
Math - 640
Writing - 610

ACT - No Writing - Composite Score: 29

I’ve also worked part time since I was 16. I’m currently a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB), and I’m seking an opportunity to do an internship in a business related field this fall.

I intend to work long and hard on my essay and get the best letters of recommendation possible. What are my chances?
