Essay (Excellent):
In regards to a medical disease I had and how it pushed me to make the most of my life while I was still here and to improve the quality of life of this earth and all its inhabitants.

someone chance him please… this guy is a good friend of mine, and ill be biased if i chance him… his ECs are stellar like come on… give it a shot someone who is in the States, chancing an international like him studying in canada… preferably someone who has been accepted or will be accepted to UPenn and other great schools… also other voices will be appreciated since we are both canadian students having weak guidance counselors to tell us anything.

take math II man!

Wow.

A disease on top of all that? Impressive! Seems like your “setback” is really your greatest strength.

I think the main thing is I don’t really see a “theme” or central focus of your application. I see great diversification, but it seems like you might be a little too off focus for Business.

Your test scores and involvement are pretty good, but I’m looking for an EC that places you over the top and above the others. The closest that comes is your disease, but that’s not really an activity…

However, I have to say you have a very good shot. I’d say UPenn would want someone who has overcome like you =)

Well, I’ve really downplayed a lot of these activities.

In regards to the environmental project, this is actually a multi-million dollar project dealing with environmental resources, and installing them on schools across canada to offset our carbon footprint.

The Youth Newspaper is a national newspaper dedicated to bringing youth connected to volunteering opportunities.

And the youth academic journal is a national journal (the first of its kind - anywhere) dedicated in bringing the work of intellectually gifted secondary students to the attention of people across canada.

It was that setback, that really motivated me to really try to make a difference.
Thanks for post =)

Anyone else?

well your resume looks great! But as we all no, you can never be cartain with a school like UPenn. Im sure there are thousands of kids applying that have the same credentials as you.

I agree with the post above. But yours looks terrific.

UPenn ED= 42%… a school like UPenn… wanna rethink what the 2 posters said above… UPenn in RD is “you can never be certain with a school like UPenn”…

That is just my opinion…

are you sure that percentage is for Wharton and not just UPenn in general?

Anyone else?
