UW is my first choice thanks

Tough to make a good judgment since a lot will depend on your essays I think. The positive gpa trend is good, but overall it is lower than the average applicant (even when considering you have taken some AP classes). Good SAT score; since UW doesn’t look at the writing section, you have a 1380 / 1600, which is good by UW standards. The three years of volunteer activities look good, as well as some variety in your other activities. Applying early improves your chances a bit too. Overall, I think you’re a borderline candidate just based on these stats on paper, but your essays could put you over the top.

UW doesn’t look at the SAT writing score? seriously?

^ they do not. i am positive.

-i basically second everything compactrunner said. UW admissions are way harder on OOS vs. IS

thanks…if i email them my first semester grades do you think it would help?
Physics:A
AP AB Calc:B
AP Statistics:A
AP Microeconomics:A
English :B
Ceramics: A

thanks

I’m really not sure. I think your best bet would be to contact someone in an undergraduate admissions office at the University and ask if they would consider it. I don’t think sending them in could hurt you, but if you don’t send them in in a way that they will definitely be matched up with the rest of your file, they won’t do you any good even if they do consider them in their decision.
