i live in virginia and english isn’t my first language but have a us citizenship…any chances?

You seem very smart, if you have met the college requirments you have a good chance gettting into a decent UC, but I dont know anything about East Coast schools.

hmmm what do u mean by decent UCs?? any examples?

You have met all requirements for VT consideration. Your SAT is quite good. Subject tests are not required. Your GPA is nearly spot-on for the current class, 2014 which is 3.95. You don’t mention your class rank. Being in the top 10% of your class will help.

You say you live in Virginia, but your family is ‘leaving’. Will you be applying as a VA resident? If so, the odds are in your favor. Out of state admissions are tighter, however I think you still stand a very good chance. If you are not a VA resident, are your parents willing to pay oos tuition?

I’m not familiar with the UC’s or NYU so I’ll leave those to people who have knowledge of those schools.

Best of luck!
