Chances for Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown?

<p>Hi! I would be so greatful if someone could please chance me for the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown! I am a junior from a fairly large town in North Carolina. My school has about 2600 students. My stats are as follows</p>

1) White Female
2) Wealthy area but my parents are not wealthy
3) Firmly middle class</p>

<p>Stats: </p>

<p>Class rank: 9 out of 600</p>

<p>GPA: weighted: 5.0 unweighted: 3.95</p>

<p>SAT: CR-720 Math-690 Writing-720</p>

<p>SAT II: Taking French, English and US history in a month</p>

<p>By graduation I will have taken 12 out of 14 possible AP classes
Sophomore Year: AP US Gov and Pol (5 on exam)
Junior Year: AP Chem, AP Environmental Science, AP US hisory, AP Language and Composition and AP French
Senior Year: AP Bio, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, AP Literature, AP European History (online class)</p>

<p>All classes have either been AP or honors except those needed to graduate (gym, fine arts)</p>

<p>Senior Year I am also doing a French Independent study on either topics of gender and identity in seventeenth century France or French in the west. </p>


<p>Accepted and attending Governor's School for Social Science focusing on global culture and politics (huge honor in north carolina)</p>

<p>Four year varsity swimmer, captain for two years</p>

<p>Volunteered with local Democratic Party</p>

<p>Worked as a swim coach, lifeguard, and swim instructor for two summers as well as private tutoring</p>

<p>Founded and is President of a political awareness club at my school</p>

<p>On the executive board and treasurer for National Honors Society</p>

<p>Four year Academic All Conference</p>

<p>Officer in French Club</p>

<p>President of French National Honors Society</p>

<p>Active member of Young Democrats and Debate Club</p>

<p>Almost fluent in French and beginner in Italian (hope to be profficient by the time I apply)</p>

<p>Georgetown SFS: Reach (you might want to apply EA)</p>

<p>I planned to apply EA definitely. Would you recommend applying to the sfs or to the regular college? Which would be a more likely chance of acceptance?</p>

<p>Either. And not that much of a reach. The SAT is the weakest part.</p>

<p>Yeah I went into that one without studying and I’m taking it again in June.</p>

<p>Are the extracurriculars ok for the sfs?</p>
