Only leadership positions have been in musical ensembles.

Please let me know what you think, even if its bad. Also, Id really appreciate it if you have any suggestions for target schools. For safeties Im pretty much set with CUNY and SUNY schools.

Sat is low, you are part of an overrepresented majority, sat2s could be better and I think that your essya topics may be a bit weak. But your gpa and extracurriculars seem pretty good.

Your rank is good and your M+CR SAT score is mediocre for said schools (maybe slightly above average for Cornell), but then again it depends on your breakdown. A 720/730 breakdown is more favourable than a 800/650 breakdown so you might have to elaborate on that. Your M+CR+W SAT score, however, is average at all schools listed, and below average for an Asian.

Remember that all colleges only look at 2 SAT II subjects now, with the exception of Georgetown, so you may only want to retake US History. Also, universities will completely ignore the Chinese SAT II score if you are Chinese so I wouldn’t bother with that.

Your ECs are average at best, with a significant lack of leadership. Your parents divorce, though a sad and significant incident, is not something that is unheard of or commonly life changing so I may want to avoid that as, to the admission committee, you may seem desperate for a sympathy acceptance or something of the sort.

You may want to elaborate on your music ensembles as you have leadership roles and they seem to be something you are passionate about/have shown commitment to.

Based on your SAT II Math score, I will presume that you have around 770 for Math SAT I and 680 for CR and I will say the following:

Cornell - 4/10
Columbia - 2/10
Wharton - 1/10
Stanford - 1/10
MIT - 1/10
UChicago - 2/10
