I’m going into my senior year
GPA: 4.0 weighted
SATs: 1680 (A bit low, I think I’ll take the subject tests in october, or should I retake the SATs?)
-Member of NHS
-1 year JV soccer and baseball
-2 years V Baseball
-My dad graduated from Northeastern if that makes any difference

That’s just the main stuff, I could probably think of some more community service I’ve done. But, how does that look?

Thanks

That SAT score is too low for those schools.

For all three of those schools, the 25th percentile SAT score is at least a 1750. So you fall way below their averages. There’s no point in taking subject tests unless you have other schools on your list that require them. BU, Northeastern, and WPI do not require them. I would try to take the SAT again and even try the ACT once. You really need a 1800+ to be competitive at these schools.

What is your unweighted GPA? That’s the more important one. These schools also place heavy emphasis on course rigor so if you took mostly honors/AP classes that should help.

What are you planning on majoring in? If it’s something Business/Science/Engineering, another good school in Boston is WIT. You should also look at UMass Amherst. These schools are more in your range.

Retake the SAT. Definitely retake it. Also, take the ACT for sure. Your dad having gone to northeastern could help, but the most important thing is getting your scores up.
