Chances for Yale Law admit fall 2011

I am a junior at Carlson at the University of Minnesota-TC, and I was wondering what my resume would pretty much have to be to get into Yale Law. I currently have a 4.0 and a significant amount of leadership/membership in organizations and I was named a Coca Cola Scholar National Finalist this past year. I just transferred to Carlson and wanted to know what I would need to be involved in to even be considered a competitive candidate. Thanks for the input!

You need an LSAT score of at least 166-168 to be even considered. You’ll be competitive with a score of 169-173; 174-176 to be very competitive. For a certain admit, you need an LSAT score of 177-180. This assumes that you’ll be applying to Yale with a 4.0 LSDAS GPA.

To be really competitive for Yale Law School, you need the kinds of grades you have, an LSAT above 173, and significant graduate study somewhere impressive. A Rhodes Scholarship is good.
