. Founder of a fund that raises money for supplies and clothes for kids in ukraine, raised about 13000. - also bring this club to penn

. editor and chief of school newspaper,

. captain of math team- high scorer,

. Captain varsity volleyball,

. 200 hundred hours of community service delivering packages of food to the needy.

. Played violin since 6th grade.

I wrote about in my penn essay basically how i will never be valedictorian but i will change the world with my community service and giving all i can towards helping underprivilaged people.

I can tell you that Penn will be a huge academic reach.
However, your deaf awareness club impressed me, and should set you apart imo.
Best of luck.
I’m applying RD to Wharton. :)

I knew my only chance would be talking about my sign language and deaf awareness to set me apart… Hopefully theyl look over my test scores and see this… So how do y

I’d say mid-reach. Your extracurriculars are excellent, but your scores are below average Penn scores.

Mid reach that sounds awesome to me… I just reely hope they even consider me… Wat woold u guys say on a scale from 0 to 10…

they are definitely going to consider you, no worries about that. sorry but i can’t help you out on the 0 to 10 scale

k thanks … any one else?

Anyone else… This whole proccess is so nerve racking its ridiculous

It would be a high reach but your extracurriculars make up for it, so its more of a mid-reach

I would think that you have a solid chance, just like anyone else. Your essay hits the nail right on the head and shows that you are not just a pile of numbers. Saying that you will never be valedictorian but that you will change the world means to me that you understand your capabilities. That will help you succeed at Penn and should show admissions folks that.

Ya so I didn’t actuall say valedictorian but I said … I may never cure cancer but I will change the lives of people and and make the world a better place through my community service and stuff… I hope they see the passion

i would mid reach because you have good ecs, and it seems like you wrote an essay from what you said, hopefully that helps you and gives you a better chance of getting in

good luck :)

Thanks guys ur giving me hope… Can’t get my hopes. Though… These next couple months r going ti be hell

I would say you definitely have a shot. What I think Penn is looking for would be students that have done something out of the ordinary and unique. I think the Sign Language Club is cool, but how has it helped your community. Essay is good, but instead of saying how you will change society; you should how have you change society. “Actions are louder than words.”

Best of Luck!

Thanks guys… Can’t even tell u how much I wana go to penn… Idk how were getting through the next few months… I’ll prob get rejected but wtvr everythins for a reason…

lol, i hope you didn’t phrase the actual sentence like this  “I may never cure cancer but I will change the lives of people and and make the world a better place through my community service and stuff”

On a more important note, I think you have a decent shot! At this point, just stop worrying about it. Everything is in, all you can do is pray now ;).

It’s so hard to just wait now knowing there is nothing you can do to help the sitiuation … If I don’t get in il fall apart

Hey,
it seems that the grades are pretty low and the sat scores are mediocre. Sign language…cool! That should def set you apart from the rest, EC are very good. So id say mid to mid high reach (just because of grades/sat scores).
Btw, i did like that 600 mat sat 2…■■■, you should have included that on your app (jk, haha).
Anyway, where else are you planning to go in case you dont get into UPenn?

prob nyu or Maryland … I’m just praying I get into penn…

i reely cant wait anymore its hell… im just hoping for a waitlist…
