<p>I’d say that you have a shot if you put together a really solid application. I would definitely apply if I were you, but make sure that your counselor explains the situation with your grandfather in his/her letter. If you are coming from a not so strong public school with that GPA it might be a little tough (especially if you are formally ranked) but not totally impossible.</p>
<p>Well, my school is in the top 50. OOS if that helps too.</p>
