Intended Major: Bio medical Engineering

Health Occupations Students of America
Soccer (Club and School)
Economics Challenge (State Finalist)
Volunteer at local elementary school and library

What are my chances at UNC-Chapel Hill (in-state), Wake Forest, and NC State?

You’ll be just fine at all 3. NC State is definitely the easiest of all the schools to get into (50%) but the engineering school is a tough one to get into. Don’t stress, you’ll be fine!

UNC will be tough because of the ACT score. NC State you should be fine

Go test optional at Wake and you should be fine.

@tigerman333 @SeinfeldFan1 I plan on taking the SAT again and am confident I can raise my reading/writing score up by at least 40. Would that help my chances?

@arif451 eh, it may. But I think unless you raise it by a lot more, you do not need to send to Wake. You don’t need to keep it from Wake, as it is still great; I am just not sure how much it will enhance your application.

NC State: 10/10
Wake Forest: 9.5/10
UNC: 8.6/10

You’re in-state, so NC state is a shoo in.
UNC is gonna be a bit tough cuz of your test scores but everything else me push you into admission.
Wake Forest is a private institution so it’ll be the hardest to get into, but again, still doable.

Update: Got a summer internship at Wake Forest Regenerative Medicine and had an interview at Wake

If I were you, I’d really talk about the Economics Challenge. Economics and money are very important and the colleges will want to see how well you can budget and prepare over the 4 years. It’s a nice thing to be good at money games.

I’m planning on not submitting the ACT. I do plan on submitting my SAT after I retake it in October. Right now I’m aiming to apply to Wake early decision.

I think you have a solid chance at all of those schools, but UNC will be the hardest of the three to get into. You have a really good chance at getting into wake! Keep it up!

I think you have a really good chance @ all three schools! Maybe try to bring up your UW GPA! Otherwise I think you are a strong candidate for all!

Im not sure about UNC in state, but Wake Forest is a tough school. NC State, easy safety. Grades are tere, maybe get SATs to 1400 and ACTs t 30-32 to be sure. You should be good though, impressive resume :slight_smile: Chance me back?
