Chances in SEAS with a 660 math IIC

What can I say, I’m a horrible test taker. But no one cares.

I really really want to get into SEAS digital media design. Will that 660 Math IIC destroy me?

I doubt that 660 will destoy you by itself.

id say no, i was accepted to the CAS for mathematics

640 on the mathII.
buuuuut i did get a 790 on the mathI, i think that said something

but what do i know

No particular test score can singlehandedly destroy your application. Just make sure you make up for your weaknesses in other parts of your entire profile.

That being said, I just got in SEAS ED with a 660 on Math IIC and a 690 on the Math section of the SAT I.

hmmm i got deferred with 800 math i, 800 math iic… scores aren’t everything

Ya, don’t worry too much about your scores, when i talked to my rep friday, she indirectly told me scores don’t mean much at all…

The whole is more than the sum of it’s parts!

…Right?

although scores arent crucial at penn, they are very important. You see your scores alone aren’t the only criteria used to judge you at penn, rather they serve to bolster the rest of your academic profile. Good scores alone won’t get you in, but bad scores can keep you out. With that in mind, if you did the best you could on Math 2 c, thats fine, keep it. But if you think you can do better just take it again. best of luck.
