6-week internship at a differnet law firm over the summer

My grades aren’t stellar, SAT scores suck, but have a big pool of EC. Does that count for anything?
I’m trying to apply for the Business Administration major, without a doubt, one of the most competitive ones there :(

Schools I’m planning on applying to:
UCB (Early Action)
Stanford
UCSB
UCSD
UCD
UCLA

UCSC (just in case)

Still looking for East-Coast schools.

definitely a good shot
my friend got in last year with a 1930 but he had a lot of AP’s and a great gpa
however, he had hardly any ec’s

Thanks, that’s very reassuring to hear!

Any other people want to chime in?

Berkeley has no early action application. Assuming that you are in state, I think that your gpa and sat scores are on the lower end of Berkeley applicants. It’s not impossible to gain admissions, but based on your gpa + sats alone, it will be tougher. Also, being Chinese doesn’t lower you chances as Berkeley doesn’t factor in race for admissions; it might even help if you are a first generation college student. As a result, I’d wager that it’s a Reach/Slight Reach.

UCB–Slight Reach
Stanford–Reach
UCSB–Match
UCSD–Match to Slight Reach
UCD–Match
UCLA–Slight Reach
UCSC–Safety

1st generation helps you at UCB and UCLA–and might get you in, but unlikely–especially if a declared business major (along with engineering, one of the toughest majors)

Consider the Economics major at UCSD–it’s a really strong program
