I am a junior in high school in LA, was wondering where I could get in with these stats

3.6 GPA, 36 ACT, Applied Math Major or something related to Math, 2 years paid math tutor, paid financial accounting internship, software engineering internship, also did debate for 6 years and stockmarket club winner. Part of many clubs but no leadership position.

Please guide on your level of foreign language taken.

I assume you meet all the UC A-G requirements including he fine arts.

Are you at a public high school? I’ll assume you are. Do you know a class rank?

Do you have a budget? You have schools $50K - $100K, etc. out of state.

Unfortunately for you, the UCs/CSU are test blind - so a 3.6 at a public school will likely be limiting to you although other posters will ask you for your 3 UC GPAs. So I’ll leave those schools alone outside of UCM, UCR and UCSC.

I’m sure UCM is safe and that Purdue, UCSC and UCR are likely.

UIUC, Wisconsin, and UW would be reaches - but reasonable reaches. UW won’t look at your test like the UCs (except in few cases) Ga Tech, CMU, and NYU are high reaches.

Northeastern - especially if full pay - a non Boston campus is a reasonable reach.

But before building a list - you need to start with budget. Budget is always item #1, #2, and #3 - especially if you have a tight one as with your stats, you can find schools in the low/mid 20s.
