Chances, not too well rounded

I’m a High School Senior who is graduating early with only three years of
High School. I’m in an interesting situation. I am advanced in mainly math and science. I took AP Physics B and AP Computer in 9th grade. I
took AP BC Calculus in 10th grade. And for my third and current year I am
taking AP U.S. History and AP Biology. All the AP’s that I have already
took I have gotten 5’s on. My SAT scores is 1230 with 720 math and 510
verbal. English is my biggest enemy. Honor Classes I have taken are Math I, II, III, 12, English 10, & Global History 10. I have not done much volunteering only at a local air museum for about 28 hours. My school activities goes from chess, orchestra, drama, and yearbook. I also started some aviation flying lessons in the beginning of 10th grade as well as participated in a regional orchestra. I applied to MIT, NYU,
Columbia, and Cooper Union. I recently got rejected from MIT and I am
worried about my chances in my three other schools. What do you think my
chances are?

Columbia is unpredictable, but SEAS (which I assume you applied to) has a higher acceptance rate than the college. I don’t know much about NYU engineering but based on your strong math/science abilities, you probably have a good shot. As for Cooper, I know that they place espeically heavy emphasis on math/science and may overlook your weaker english scores.

Oh, and don’t worry about your MIT rejection. They reject the best of the best.
